I'll spare you the long story behind me acquiring this cassette, but I do have to give a big shout out to my good friend John John who originally gave me this tape pre interweb. Today we have places like Deep House Page and Victor Simonelli's online collection of mixtapes where anyone can easily find recordings like this that were once considered to be quite rare.
As you can see not a lot of information about this recording was provided, but I'm guessing from the tracklisting that this took place around '82 (which happens to be the year that Frankie Knuckles left the Warehouse, creating even more questions about the origins of this cassette - was this recorded at the Warehouse? The Power Plant?). I converted it to a 256 bitrate MP3, but keep in mind that this was transfered from a cassette that was recorded from another cassette that was recorded from another cassette, etc. Enjoy!

Red Dirt - Thanks for what looks like a great tape rip that hasnt surfaced until now. Much appreciated. BTW. Sometimes 'long stories' can be entertaining...Dont hide, provide...Early early house can be really interesting so a tape from 82 is good to see
Thanks again fella
